AVAFF is an independent (philanthropic) initiative designed to bring dedicated, rapid, aerial wildland fire suppression to the greater Aspen Valley.
It’s not a matter of “If,” but “When” we are threatened more directly by a wildfire in our valley.
The AVAFF plan includes operating two FireBoss aircraft and one light-duty helicopter in conjunction with the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.
